Re: Steve's 64 Short-bed Project
Here is pics of how I installed a "Genie" garage door opener to my carriage doors. Works like a dream...it's very quiet and smooth even for a chain drive. https://i.postimg.cc/jdYnWBdr/New-Garage-Door-Opener-10-1-21-3.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/CxFZ7DqP/New-Garage-Door-Opener-10-1-21-4.jpg ...

Re: Steve's 64 Short-bed Project
Trying to figure out how to post a video on here. I installed a garage door opener yesterday and fabricated it to work with my carriage garage doors. There's also a really cool '64 F-100 in the video. Working on getting the video on here....

Loose Nut! It's almost always a loose nut....lol. The nut on the stud on the positive side of my coil was not tight. That took care of the stumbling problem. The last backfire blew one of my mufflers apart at a seam....that's a hard backfire! I managed to hammer it back together and get it sealed u...

Re: Steve's 64 Short-bed Project
Hi Steve, nice job on the concrete… just go ahead and spill some oil on that floor, gives it some character :-) I like to keep an old carpet piece under the truck, while I am working on it… catches the spills and easy on an old mans knees. I like the wheel , suits your truck perfect. Yeah...I'm try...

Thanks! Yep...I had dirt/grass...then pea gravel...neither was good to work on...grump wrote:Congrats Steve, isn't it great to have a concrete floor? I had stone for my garage floor for over 30 years and when we put down concrete it was great, no more crawling around on stone. Enjoy.

Enjoying cruise-in season here in S.W. Virginia. Everyone is getting out and participating...I think that we are all tired of the (Covid) mess. Went to a local cruise-in Saturday night and even with thunderstorms in the area there was a decent turnout. Lots of Ford's and F-100's and F-150's....Ever...

Whew....not been on here in a while. Buried under a major home renovation. I've hauled quite a bit of 'materials' with my truck and today driving home from Lowes, I braked for a car that slowed and turned in front of me...heard a loud "bang" and lost brake pedal feel. I had posted on here ...
