Re: Attention Ranger Fans, trucks that is
Michelle, sorry I lost your email address. I am a guide in Arizona so things have been nuts for me. I think you wanted more pictures of my old ranger? I am trying to locate and original picture of it in early 65 I know I have seen it some where. I will be starting work back on it in February puttin...

Re: Ranger Information
All Right Michelle! At this point, I only have pictures of pieces/parts and disassembly, most of which are on the "Projects and Builds" page. One of these fine days, in the (hopefully) not too distant future, I can load some pictures of my '66 Ranger. I do have a lot of pictures of individ...

Re: Attention Ranger Fans, trucks that is
If you own a Ranger or just like them please read this. I have dug out my Ranger Registry spread sheet and updated it a bit. If you own a Ranger and are not on the list get the info to me. Please look over the list and if you know of a truck that is not on the list please get the information on that...

Re: Had some fun In Vegas..(lotsa pics)
About ten years ago, we went to a "SAAC Does Vegas" Open Track / Car Show / Factory Tour at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Shelby Factory. It was really cool getting to be on the track at the same time as a lot of vintage Shelby Iron (and Aluminum) and then getting to rub elbows with the...

Re: Scott Drake pedal pivot bearing conversion
Yup, I put one of these conversion kits into my '65 Mustang quite a few years ago and have been really happy with it.
After "sawing" nearly through the old bushings and pivot shaft from many years of use/abuse, the conversion sure made both the brake and clutch pedals work better than new.

Re: Stock F100 Tire Size?
I know one of my trucks came with 235/75-15 tires on it, but these are the modern radial equivalents of the old bias ply tires. Both www.tires.com and www.tirerack.com have tire size calculators that you can use to compare overall diameters, section widths, etc... That way you can find which tires w...

Re: MY OL 66 - Custom Cab Ranger - Project Pictures
Thanks for the tip!
I started working on cleaning up that area as well since I was working around there.
So far I have found only two little spots of surface rust where the filler had lifted slightly up from the metal.

Is that self etching primer that you used?bruceandersson wrote:I used a stiff wire brush on a drill to get the old sealer out. Then applied the 3M sealer after priming the bare metal. Used the caulking gun sealer to fill and cleaned it up with a finger swipe.
Thanks!

Re: MY OL 66 - Custom Cab Ranger - Project Pictures
Some questions based on these photos... First, what prep and then what type of seam sealer/filler is recommended for the seam around the top of the cab? Second, I finally gotten all the road grime/grease/etc cleaned off of the bottom of the bed, and now I think I am seeing the original factory prime...

Re: Rear parking brake cables
They are also different length for left side and right side of the truck due to the cable pivot mount being off center as well.
I had one of mine froze-up from broken wire strands internally and had to order a new one from O'Reilly's.
That is how I found out about the different lengths side to side.

Re: Clutch fork falling out
Thanks guys, and yes, I am looking to see how the small spring on the clutch fork attaches to the pivot. Does it go behind the pivot? Now that I have pulled the boot off, I can see much better inside the clutch fork opening. My pivot looks riveted on, so it must be original. And I see the two small...

ICE: I think you are referring to the wrong spring in your picture.
Do you have an exploded view of the bell housing / clutch fork pivot / clutch fork assembly?
I think that is where the missing clip/spring is at.

Re: Clutch fork falling out
I think you are referring to the small "wire" spring that retains the clutch fork to the pivot inside the bell housing. I do not have a picture at hand but I am pretty sure it attaches through the two small holes in the clutch fork and then around a protrusion on the pivot piece inside the...

Re: Intake manifold ID, 2nd try -- smaller pics
I agree that it has the early sbf firing order, but I do not think it is an efi lower as there do not appear to be an injector bungs on it. The round ports "might" indicate it was used with Boss 302 type of heads (Cleveland heads used on small blocks in '69 and '70). I seem to recall some ...

Finally got the rear frame cleaned up and repainted, along with new bushings and liners in the springs. Also cleaned up and repainted the rear axle assembly. Next step is to put new brakes onto the rear axle, then the back end is completed to this point... https://s20.postimg.org/rm5pxorhp/DSC01950....
