Re: More project pictures
I am going to attempt to move these photos and thread to my other posting on the Projects & Builds page to keep everything together in one place as the project is now proceeding again. Done! Deleted these pictures and moved them over to my previous topic in Projects & Builds: "MY OL 66 ...

Re: MY OL 66 - Custom Cab Ranger - Project Pictures
Well, I have finally gotten back to work on this project. I retired the middle of last year, and after working on several other little projects around the house and yard, I started back to work on my slick. When I stopped previously, I had stripped and repainted the suspension/frame area up to the f...

Re: effect of altitude on specifications
put a throttle body EFI on and let it do the tuning! The EFI is just unbeatable for varying elevations without hands-on changes. They are also becoming more economical; this quarter's LMC catalog has a setup to control both spark and fuel for under a grand, which means SOMEONE is likely selling it ...

Re: 64 Ranger ID
Here is the address for Michelle's Ranger Registry: www.michellesfords.com/RangerRegistry.html On there, she lists the following for '65 and '66 Rangers: The body code is the fourth set of numbers from the right on the second line of the warranty plate. It will have something like F81 or G81. The Al...

pv544: They would need to all be painted as they have many scratches and surface rust.
I will try to get some pictures of the four of them sometime this week.
If you want, PM me your email address and I will send them directly when I get the pictures.
Thank you.

Re: Hello I'm new here
Welcome!
I have a '66 shortbed and live down in Tucson.
You mentioned that you might be getting rid of the wheels?
I have a set of original steel wheels I might be interested in using as partial trade.
Thanks!

Re: Those with drop beams...I need some help
As far as I can remember, my chassis tech drop beams are the same length as my stock beams.
Should not have any issues with width, although the truck is a long way off from having the rest of the front suspension, much less the fenders, back installed in place.

'66 Slick Christmas Tree Ornaments
As is their custom, Hallmark usually introduces their upcoming Christmas ornaments in the middle of the summer. For the past several years, they have offered various versions of pickup trucks with a Christmas tree in the bed as an ornament. This year they are offering a red-white '66 Slick as the fe...

Re: The fun begins - dissassembly again
Kevin: Yes, we will be taking the 2010 Convertible again this year. As a matter of fact, we just received our entry form in the mail yesterday. Have you gotten one yet? We usually go over on Friday morning before the show. If there are any other Mustangers from Tucson going, we try to run with them....

Thanks for the photos, Bill! I had been asked to attend that show with one of my Mustangs (I'm in the same club as the long lineup of late models in one of your pictures) but already had commitments both days this weekend with our running club putting on a race out at the corn maze at Buckelew Farms...

Geez, Doc... This sounds like an experiment from one of my old college physics classes. You know the one where you put an incandescent bulb in your mouth and then touch a Van de Graff generator. I have a CB around the garage somewhere, but haven't used it in years. I might have to dig it out just to...

Heater Core Tube length
In my '65 Mustang, the core tubes only extended far enough to end between the back side of the heater core and the interior side of the firewall, which made for a lot of creative adjectives and new chiropractic positions to get the clamps on and off. I then had a radiator shop add longer tubes onto ...

Its time once again for the "Run to the Pines" Car
If any of you AZ Slick 60's fans are going to be showing (or attending) the Car Show in Pinetop this weekend, stop by and say hello at the show. I will be there with my '65 Mustang... Vintage Burgundy Coupe w/ a '67 style Shelby Hood Scoop w/ silver Shelby Stripes on the hood. The license is "M...
