Celebration
A farmer went to a local bar and ordered a glass of champagne. The woman sitting next to him said, "How about that? I just ordered champagne too!" "What a coincidence" the farmer said. "This is a special day for me. I'm celebrating". "This is a special day for me t...

Re: camaro subframe
All brand bashing aside, I don't really know much about them or why they never caught on with slicks, the one that really seems to have stuck was the crown Vic, followed by the Dakota kit supplied by Industrial Chassis.

Re: Canadian-built color codes
{quote} assuming the UR is a typo, since there isn't a code U shown on any of the '61-'66 code charts I have, including the '60-'62 Ford/Mercury of Canada Collision Body Parts manual or in the '64-'72 MPC. Code U was used as a Medium Green in '67-'69 and a Yellow in '70-'71. So in the case of a tuto...

Re: Crown Vic Frame Swap Debate
Foostick's LTD started out a 351 but he swapped in an old UPS van 300 he thought to be in way better condtion. I doubt the electrics were much more complicated than your truck would demand. I have driven Foodstick's and I tell you it drives like an absolute dream, I would recommend that swap to anyo...

Re: Gonna be asking a LOT of questions here....be prepared!
Fordification is a wonderfully organized and easy-to-find-things-on site that both me and a friend who was restoring a 67 Merc found extremely valuable when we were working on Bumpsides. Now there's the equally well put together Dentside site too. I welcome any information Keith wants to compile, in...

Re: Canadian-Built Ford and Mercury Truck Data: VIN Decoding
Guys there is somewhere in netdom a Canadian Ford/Merc truck colour chart, I saw it years and years ago, I believe my colour scheme is coded UH and my truck was originally skylight blue and wimbledon white. This car colour chart from then comes close but no cigar, but it's the best I can find right ...

Too bad, Keith.. check the parts threads here and on Facebook.. https://www.facebook.com/groups/485825684787362/ if you need approval there I'll be happy to do it. I threw away a perfectly good steering box/column like you need when I went to rack and pinion , I am sure there are dozens if not hundr...

Re: Ranger Information
Just curious. I have always loved the Rangers, the first one I saw was ca. 1980 in Kelowna BC. I can't tell you if it was a Merc or a Ford.. my memory steers me to Merc but I just wouldn't bet my life on it. It did make quite an impression on me tho as when i found out it was built by the factory th...

Re: Mustang shorty header collectors
I wonder who at a muffler shop is gonna know what ball size and collector bolt up will work for mustang shorties i would need to take the truck in or the headers off I figure neither of which solves the problem. if i was taking it in for a full exhaust system maybe but this is a temporary fix just t...
