"Michael, In regards to the 9" rear in your truck, 97.5 % of the time, the axle bearing is a sealed bearing and will have to be replaced with a new bearing. The bearing "is" the seal. After you pull the axle, You have to take it to somebody with a press, to have the old bearing p...

Merle.
As nice as your truck is, you need to look for a custom Aluminum radiator. There are several manufacturers available if you GOOGLE "aluminum radiator".
E-250 vans have big radiators too, but if I were you I'd go for the aluminum job.
Just my dos centavos worth.

Gas milage??? hummmmmm

Well guys. Nadine has a fairly stout 390 with 3 deuces and a C-6 with 3.25 gears so its pretty much a crap shoot. Since BroncoTom helped me keep from dumping out about a 1/2 pint of gasoline every time I took off (the vent tube was not properly placed) things have gotten much better. IF drive with t...

disk brakes/ straight axle

If someone will remind me, I'll post the parts list from ECI when I get back from Thanksgiving.
You can buy the adapter/ bracket and spacer from them and get your other stuff locally if you want.
You won't be sorry about this modification.
Happy Thanksgiving, ya'll. :D

Guys. I think he's asking how to access the nuts on the back of those studs. As I remember, you have to remove the air vents in the kick panels and maybe the heater on the passenger side on the later 65-66 trucks to put your hand up into the area where the nuts are. I'm just wondering how the assemb...

Rich and a couple of other guys corrected me on this. I was always told this is what the ram horn manifolds look like but apparently I am wrong.
I know FE's, I don't know Y-blocks.
IF anyone has a photo of the real deal, please post them here so I can become more informed

Ross. Its basically just bubble wrap with aluminum foil on both sides. I used it on the inside of my doors on the outside skin where there is a lot of water and moisture. I think its called garage door insulation. Check it out. It doesn't hold moisture and is very light. No real sound deadening thou...

On a more serious note, insulating your truck will help more than you can imagine. Since most of our Slicks get driven more to cruise night and car shows than to the hardware store, it really doesn't matter that much if you put your insulation in with the foil side in or out. Just make sure you put ...

ABA. I will be using the Rod Doors unit too. I glued the aluminum backed rag insulation to the roof of my truck. My suggestion is just leave a bare space around the insulation where it would meet the roof seams to keep it from collecting moisture. I live in Houston and I haven't had any problems wit...

It's "U.S." as in Uncle Skip, pronounced with the proper southern twang. One of our old members tagged me with that years ago. It comes from the old Jackie Gleason movie "The Toy".
