Re: What a difference He can make

I'm not sure that's the answer. That idea would contradict me driving it everyday for 2 weeks pryor, with NO problems. It wasn't until I decided to put new plugs in it that it developed a skip that wasn't there before. Then everything I did to fix that, didn't work until it finally quit firing compl...

Re: Replacing Cab Mounts and floor pans on a Unibody F100

Hey Matt, I watched your last video. Told my wife before I started, that THAT was a huge ball of unused wire...... I'm like you about wanting to keep it simple. You've ALMOST got me wanting to jump back on mine again. AGE is the biggest thing keeping me from doing it. That, & time. I haven...

AMEN...Trukrat. I've been there too. If you ever experience a time when you need help, and it doesn't come right away, it's because God is helping me at that moment....and I keep him pretty busy.

Someone may have used the wrong length push rods. But, it wouldn't hurt to say a prayer.

Re: 66 f100 at Mecum on 01/06/2017

I gotcha Michelle, I didn't even see that. BUT, what really gets me, and I've seen so many do it (hope I don't make anyone mad, but it just looks SO wrong), he also has his bed moldings on the wrong sides. I mean they have a curved end that matches the curvature of the body itself. It's a small thin...

Re: Lmc rear tank

As long as the inlet for fuel to go into the tank, is at a lower elevation than the filler cap, you can't STOP the fuel from going into it. It would make your delima a lot simpler, plus you'd probably gain another 4-5 gallons of extra fuel space in the tubing alone. UNLESS you just WANT the filler s...

Re: my shipwrecked '63

I like the color choice and pattern of that seat material. That should go pretty well with you paint colors. Your build brings back some 30 year old memories of me having to push my 56 F-100 in and out. I got SO tired of that. The day that I was able to drive it out, and drive it back in, was just a...

Re: 62 F100 at Mecum 12/3 55000 and no sale

My word, I don't even want to get started on the TV Auctions, and restoration programs. It kind of brings back old memories. I remember my daddy telling me more than once, "don't ever believe anything you see in a picture". That also goes for movie pictures. I've had several customers over...

I've looked several places even though I'm new to the site, trying to find a current post by April. I sure hope and pray remission still exists. I admire people like that, so I'm leaving this for April to read, or maybe it will even be an encouragement to others. Hi: I like your truck even from way ...

Heck Fire, I'm proud of her too. I love seeing young kids taking up a trade. No mater how old or young, everybody that has worked with me for the last 35 years, left knowing how to weld.

She'll be my #1 female welder.....

What a difference He can make

I've owned and drove my truck daily (rain, sleet, or snow) for 26 years. I stopped driving my 64 about 6 years ago, because of gas prices and poor mileage. Now that fuel prices are dropping again, I decided about 2 months ago to get it going again. It's always been SO dependable that it didn't take ...

Re: Floor mat

I'm hard headed but I can still be taught a few things, but I've been in the parts business for 35 years and I've only seen: for a 65-72 a repro. solid black mat that resembles a carpet looking pattern, relatively thin, but they cut off at the front edge of the seat. While the original mats had a sm...

Re: By george I think I got it

Great color choice. I've painted my 64 3 times over the years, and I've always been one to change colors in a minute. Mine was factory light blue and it just grew on me, so I haven't had the guts to change it in 31 years..... . Even if I did, it would look just like yours. :|

Re: Square holes by interior air inlets

There are covers for these holes, but not available NEW. I'm sure asking on the site, someone will have a parts truck with some that you may be able to purchase. I had to get some for my 64 Standard Cab, because it does help to keep cold air out. We sometimes have some cold Winters, but not this yea...

Re: Heater control valve.

I've got an inline valve (cable operated) on my 64, but I just engage it by hand whenever needed. It's the NEXT simplest valve.
