Re: Here is a story of the formation of the Slick 60's club.

I have always liked the style of all old Ford trucks. My favorites being the 53-56 and 61-66 models. I have had a 66 before as my daily driver. About the time we started looking at vehicle projects for a father/son project for my teenager, we found the Excite page. Eric wanted a Mustang but being th...

Ford trucks went to metric lug sizes in 1997 but the vans are still English and will fit our trucks.

The 67-72 trucks and 69-74 van taillight lens will fit 64-66 trucks. They have the reverse light built in and if you want to use that feature be sure you get the housing too.

74 axles would be 31 spline. Housing is too wide for a Slick.

I have done a couple Aerostar swaps and would do another. The minivan was made to haul 7 passengers and cargo. The advantages of Aerostar (and Jag) are that the frame does not need modified. The problem is that they quit making them 13 years ago. Most were junked for weak air conditioners and/or the...

I have taken apart running engines that had an extra oilpump driveshaft in the oilpan. Lord knows how long it has been in there. I ALWAYS recommend using a heavy duty ARP drive shaft on FE engines. They have an appetite for the stock ones. Don't ask me how I know. If you do drop the pan to replace t...

Kid helped my buddy John (you met him at Back to the 50's) cut a windshield for his 54 this summer. Same truck you saw at the Dells last year. He cut it with a snadblaster from both sides. Worked really slick! He went to a cemetary monument company and got the stick-on rubber they use to engrave hea...

flipping the tank around makes it fit closer to the front of the box. Now it just needs a cover like Kid and Matt did and it looks finished.
