I would come out of the top of the stove...
You can pu in a damper in the pipe for control
I have seen them running outhe back ...
Bu sometimes that style can smoke
When you open the door......
Also the elbow is just a place for ash to build up

Are your original springs in decent shape ? If you just want to add a small amount of lift You can just add a single helper leaf spring Just have to take apart your leaf pack (Good time to clean em up ) Put in a helper & bolt them back in Here is what I'm talking about.... https://www.ebay.com/i...

Uncle Skip was talking about how a lot of these trucks had CB radios He was going to install one for a "period correct" look ... Then it dawned on me ...might be very handy at Slick Stock... If some (or all) Slicks had CBs ... might make some of the cruises easier Cell phones are wonderful...
