Re: Need a 3 speed floor shifter
I believe I have a Hurst three speed plus linkage and mounting brackets, I would be willing to trade for a certain set of y block valve covers with turquoise accents I would have to do some digging as all is still packed

Re: Elec.brake switch installed
Great fix, thanks for posting. My fix uses a micro switch and was a great pain to get everything to line up. I was wondering if there is enough room to mount your bracket to the inside of where you install it, and turn it 90* horizontally, that would allow the switch to be activated by the brake arm ...

Re: New Weller radiator repaired
You got it Pat If you take a hunk of steel and hit it with a sweating torch you would use to solder copper pipe, you will see the water running out of the steel. Depending on the thickness or humidity in your area you can get quite a bit to come out. the primer will adhere better in my opinion. You ...

Re: INTAKE MANITOLD STUCK
I had to lightly pry it up on mine to pop the seal. look for slots where a flat bladed screwdriver will slip in on both corners and it should pop. It's usually RTV around the water jackets that cause the problem, but who knows what a po might have used.

Looking great Dan!
I gota tell you I really like that rust reformer. I have found that lightly sweating the steal before sealing with rust reformer works even better, make sure the metal cools down before priming

I have on my 61 uni, what are you looking for? I bought the 1960 gear, bolted it up and got made up brake line. Be sure to make it long enough to put compression bends or coil, or find a rubber brake hose to absorb the shock. bench bleed the whole thing to get all the air out or you will not get enou...

Doc, how sad it is to hear she is gone. I myself have watched the light go out of too many beloved canine family members' eye's. I know that may not help, but I always manage to either talk myself or be talked back into just one more. I always manage to have the new addition heal the hurt in my hear...

Re: Truck stumble, coil voltage issue?
Not positive but think you will burn thru points that way. Its not for everyone But a pertronix will replace your points, run and start smoother and will work with 12v just fine. make sure you have the part number on your actual distributor because there are two that will be listed depending on the ...

Board has been quiet for awhile, other than face book I think the greatest loss is not having a photo sharing site. I know all my build posts make no sense without pics. I have been waiting for a place where I can put them in order to attempt to rebuild those threads... and so I thought I would ask ...

Unless the import laws have been changed all foreign made parts imported into the United States must be clearly stamped or labeled as such, even if it is assembled in the U.S. with foreign materials. Your option is to report it to the U.S. customs or take the matter up with the trade commission. I f...

I put a 2011 dodge truck seat/console in mine in gray, it has cloth inserts and I never feel the burn. I still have scars on my knee from the knee jerk reaction when I was in my twenties and had a black vinyl seat.

Re: Split Unibody on 4x4 frame
I agree with the look at it in person way of buying these trucks. The lines do not match up which tells me that they got the spacing blocks wrong on the bed but other than that it appears to be well made. close ups of the bed ends a must as stated but there are a whole lot of problem areas that are ...

Re: Hydroboost on the cheap
Thinking about this as well, because of valve cover clearance with the y block. I am using the hydraulic clutch location for its intended purpose, there is also an electronic pump I have seen mentioned. I am thinking of losing the power steering portion of my build at some point because I adapted th...
