Re: Swapping 9" passenger axles in my 66

Surprisingly, we (actually Brien) found that the early '80's F100 differentials with the 4.5" bolt pattern weren't as difficult to find as we had expected. They are wider than the Slick 9", but that's why we were after them (and to match the CV front pattern).

It's on my bucket list. It's my understanding that the show is not what it used to be (under the original promoter) but still a great show.

Never seen the attraction of doing this to a Uni. But maybe that's just me.

Re: Front bumper

AIUI the re-pops are not "correct" as to curvature and fitment. IMO you'd be better off having your -"correct" bumper re chromed, if budget allows. Pretty sure you'll be a lot happier.

I agree! I've notified the admins and the webmaster several times but it still doesn't work. Makes the site less enjoyable without that feature.

Re: When bad things happen to good cars

Did anyone see the picture of the roadster at the national roadster show what supposedly had a stuck throttle and ran over the judging coordinator, severely injuring him. The car was heavily damaged also.

Re: Tire size Question

Here's my old girl... she had a very tired set of smoothies and whitewalls that I recently replaced with new. Fronts are 225/75/15 on 8" rims, rears are 295/45/15 on 10" rims.. I had the whitewalls cut locally. http://www.slick60s.com/gallery/image.php?album_id=738&image_id=11388 Good...

Well, some are spending serious money, but I would suspect that each of the sellers had way more than the bid price invested in their trucks. IMO better build 'em to enjoy not as an investment.

Re: Kenny Nelson (62Galxe) had a heart attack - Update

Update from Kenny's sister. He had two (not one) stents installed yesterday which greatly improved the blood flow. He was supposed to go home today. Cathi said "Surgically he is done - now it's lose weight, stay on meds, exercise and eat healthy..." I replied "let me know how what tur...

If you like to drive Ford trucks and eat donuts.

Thought this would be an interesting job: According to the ad, the sales/delivery vehicle is a 1966 Ford Van.

The Pate meet (Slick Stock South) is a must-attend event. I missed last year for the first time in several years (due to financial embarrassment). I seldom buy anything of significance, but mostly go for the fellowship with my Slickster friends and the food outings to the local restaurants (Babe's F...
