Re: Roof support bracket

Where I spliced the roof, making my extended cab, I placed the extra one under the weld and sprayed it with great stuff. There was an automotive product (forgot name) that was the same chemicals listed on label but about 3 times the price. Had to get longed hose for the can as you spray with can ups...

I think the bed bracket was an option, but would put money on it. Just a thought.

How soft are rubber fuel hoses? I have seen them suck together and cut off fuel.

Re: Removing rib-its...

Use a small cut off disc, 3 or 4 inch, and cut an x in the head then hit with air chisel. Cut deep enough that it knocks off in 4 pieces. The truck show on powernation did this on the show that I saw yesterday morning and I have done it this way. Watch for flying object when it knocks off. Then punc...

Who said that you can't turn a truck into a turd. Those extra emblems are mounted to low to be 65 or 66 fenders. Poor Truck.

Re: Pls Post: ANY & ALL Slicks with FoMoCo Padded Dash

Don't think they were required in 66, because I never saw 66 or earlier chevy with a padded dash (started working at chevy dealer in 68 when lots
were coming in on trade). Can't remember any 67 without one, any brand.

83%, but since I am older than rich (73) and had drivers license since the 50's I drove most of them at my uncles salvage yard late 50's and 60's.
It was not unusual for him to buy the complete back row at used car lots and we would drive them to yard.

Re: truck bed compatibility '60 to a '63 & vice versa

That is 300 miles from me so can't be much help. The blocks the bed is sitting on would be 16" (each 8" tall and the 1 on end is 16") I am guessing your cart is about 12" so you should be ok. You may need to put trailer tires in fender openings.

Re: 1965 F100 lift kits?

Take the cylinder from door and take to locksmith, if nothing has been changed it will fit. Sometime The right door will have key number stamped on it, but not always.

Re: Is base/clear paint more forgiving?

Paint fenders, doors and such in the position they are on truck (not laying on rack). Paint back side of fenders with single stage instead of base. Be sure to wear a good breathing device.

Re: Added Hood Ground Cable

All I can remember on slick is a little spring like strip on top of cowl, near end of rubber strip on right side. Some gm used a little braided strap. The reason for grounding hood was to remove static from radio with the old am signals.
