Lightshow, my drivers side cab mount is as bad as yours. Passenger side is fine. Looking underneath, my drivers side sits on the frame and the passenger side is about an inch or so above the frame. The reslult is I have about a 1/2 inch or greater gap in my steering column just below the stearing wh...

How did the fire start? In the cab or in the engine compartment? Was the fuel tank involved? If those tires were the ones on it at the time of the fire you may be in good shape regarding the frame. The burnt sheet metal is junk but may paint up nice. The steel loses its strength when exposed to temp...

Spent the weekend reviving an old Chrysler "K" car in that has been sitting in my dad's back yard for about the last 15 years. We could get it to run by dumping gas down the carb, but we could not get gas out of the tank to the carb. We put in 5 gallons and the fuel level still reads empty...

Small world! I called on that truck a while ago. Talked to the owner in Florida. How'd you get it back to Wisconsin? He said the gas tank was junk. Glad to see it went to someone on the site.

Can never have to many parts. I bet sitting in a field in Alaska and sitting in a field in Arizona are worlds apart. I can only imagine how many vehicles I'd own if I had my own tow truck.

I'd be too afraid to cut the frame to say the least of welding it back together. I'm sure if I did something like that you couldn't align it ever again. Hats off for attempting the feat.
