I have an electric 4000 rpm tach that I had converted about five years ago. It worked perfectly with my gas engine. It does not work well with my diesel. I am running it with a Dakota digital box. Tach is right at idle.
Should I adjust Dakota digital box til it is right at 2000 rpms and not worry about idle

Tach is electric from gas engine.
Driven by a Dakota digital drive.
Is there a better way to drive it?

The dash is from a F800.
I added the lights.
One for oil pressure the other for alternator

Right now the gearbox dose not make noise over the engine.
Neither does the radio or cell phone.
I have the carpet and transmission cover off and a two foot exhaust pipe from the engine
