Re: Looks like Newton Speedway is a no go

I see local track's fold and resurrect form the ashes, it seems to be a cycle. KC had a drag way, it was pushed out by the surrounding housing that sprang up around it. Now years later there was strong support for a new one, then covid kill the need.... Keep us informed, I expect things to go down h...

Re: 1966 F100 Inner Fender stock components 352 engine

Oops I should have read the title better... I'm sure items moved as the years progressed, and we're dependant on options... IE deluxe heater, windshield washer. The only one I can help with is the heat control valve on the passenger inner fender mid way. It has a unique three screw triangle mount pa...

Muddy wet, might be an understatement.

I was in Salina last Tuesday and it looked more like the everglades in a lot of wheat fields.
Wanted to drop by but it wasn't in the schedule the boss had me on.

Re: What Slick60s Engine Transplants Have You Seen?

A quick YouTube search "Perkins Ford" will net you several from South of the border... I believe we had an Ecoboost build here at one time... Mention of a Mercedes build but never heard of the results... I've heard talk of a 'two stroke' Detroit in a Ford... How about something rare, 427 o...

Re: Horn Question

Yes that's the relay. It should have one wire hot(12v) all the time. One wire leads to the horn or horns. The third should go up the horn button. Pull that rubber plug off the relay, and test for power. No power on at least one of the connections, theres a problem... Jump12v direct to the horn conne...

Re: 1966 F-350 Midland brake booster (firewall mount) failur

Internal leak in the master cylinder. ... One or more seals has failed in the master cylinder, time for a replacement, is my knee jerk reaction.

:2cents:

My take on the problem is, if the MC were good and the booster had failed / to a self applied state, the brakes would be locked up tight.

Dana 61 3.07 ratio rear

I have an extra Dana 61. 3.07 ratio, eight lug on 6.5 pattern. These are not quite a bolt in for slicks. They may require installing new spring perches in a narrower pattern for slicks.. May come real close to being a bolt in on a bump side or newer, due to the wider frame. I also am offering up my ...

We plan on showing up, made reservations today. Aug 4 thru 8, the booking person didn't give me the impression she knew what she was doing. recently acquired a 4x4 3.07 front axel... So the uni will definitely be in the process of converting to 4wd. We'll bring my wife's SUV. I have a windshield, of...

So how many gal is that tank? It looks bigger than a 16 gal stainless mustang tank I installed. If I were to do it over I would use the 19gal 70's stang tank. If I remember correctly, I reinstalled the rear crossmember up side down for clearance of the tank flange and the fact the downward bow parti...

Re: How did you finish out the back of cab when tank was rem

I had planned to install a Ford factory behind the seat tool/storage box. (made for 67 - 72 trucks) but it will not fit without cutting cab bracing... So nothing besides some sound deadening material is back there so far... https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=34678&stc...

My rule on patch panels is simple... If it comes pre primed, ( black e-coat) I DON'T want it, 85% of the time. If there's anything else available, or I can fabricate it... If it comes raw steel , I can make it work... Almost all patches will require some tweaking to make them fit. I have looked at t...

(The Dana 60 rear axle was first introduced in 1955 as a full floating axle in Ford F-250's and is still used today. Manufactured in both full float and semi float variations. Re: 300 finally died. Motor is out.... what now?

Brass threaded bushings should do what you need... You may be able to source them at the local flaps or even in the plumbing isle of a local hardware...

I have gone so far as to buy threaded brass pipe plug to fit the block, then drill an tap that to fit my sensor.
