Yes, valve body has a problem. Will need to be pulled and rebuilt and resealed. Cleaning seems to do the most good. C6's are common compared to the Cruise-o-matics so should be easy to find someone to do it. Jay at Broader Performance in Weatherford, TX can do it and he does transmissions from all ...

Try this, with the vehicle on a level surface and chocked, of course. From underneath, disconnect the shifter linkage from the transmission's manual control lever. Cycle it through by hand once or twice, and manually put it in park. Climb back in and restart the engine and see if that solves the pr...

Jerry, the problem most likely is in the valve body. You get to that by pulling the pan. I would first recommend spending the $20 or so on a C-6 pan with a drain plug in it. Once you get it, poke a hole in your existing pan to drain the fluid in a fashion you can catch it to reuse it. Check the val...

Just an idiot getting bit by a baby shark. Bite wasn't that bad. Not bad enough to be flagged anyways.
I was hoping the shark went for his nipple but he got his shoulder instead.

Engine will NOT rev up in park. It will idle just fine but give it some gas and it bogs down. Put the trans in neutral and it will rev to high heaven.

Great thread. Love the Buick. 8) Here's a garage find I ran across when I bought my house. The lady next door bought the car new and had to park it in the early '90s. I tried to buy it but she wouldn't sell. Well a few years went buy and her health declined and her family took her to live with them ...

ABA, What size in diameter is your new shaft? Also, what size yoke/u-joints? 1310? 1350? Did you ever hear what sort of power levels it could withstand? And is that 58" mid-travel? Cheers, Dion Where that yoke sits now is 58" center to center. http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/3357/gedc0...
