Re: 1961 F100 4X4 Bed Question.
57-65 4x4 wrong beds are different from the 2wd wrong beds,, even thou they look the same, same parts used as well as part numbers,, BUT the biggest change is where the cross members where located and drilled.. So if you are using a 2wd wrong bed on a 4x4, you will either relocate the cross members...

Re: anyone know this 292?
first time i have ever seen a 90* oil filter adapter on a y block
curious if this is a general ford engine part or something y specific.
when i had the 90 on 4x4 with fe i was always using the big truck filter, FL1299 iirc
wonder if theres enough room for that filter when the y is installed in a truck

turn signal irritation
annoying deal
sometimes work sometimes not
every time i find spare to investigate they seem to work then i will go somewhere and they will stop.
brake light not affected.
going to get a new flasher and see if that helps. otherwise it could be in the switch itself.

Re: hood hinge nut
i cheated
i took a hood bolt with the turned down end, wrapped a stainless tie wire around it and fed it thru the hole from the center oval cowl opening . after the nut was started on the bolt i pulled the wire and used vise grips on the nub end and tightened it down
only a purist would notice
