Aerostar front suspension?
I've been reading about putting an Aerostar front end on older Ford trucks, and I wonder if it would be applicable to Slicks. Anyone done one or seen one? I was looking at them in the junkyard the other day, and it looks like it would be a simple install. The whole assembly is simply bolted into the frame. I have a later chassis w/ disc brakes, etc. for my '64 project, but this looks simpler in some ways. I'm not looking forward to pulling the cab and the bed if I don't have to.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive body, but to skid in sideways - body worn out and screaming: Woo Hoo, what a ride!"

It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
The aerostar is a nice swap but it seems as though the 03 and newer crn vic crossmember is less work. All Aluminum crossmember, tubular upper & lower control arms, power rack & pinion. All you really have to do is box the frame and drill 4 holes for the crossmember and 4 more to attach the sway bar then bolt it on. They sell used for about $500 so you could likely get the aerostar front cheaper though.
