Dropped I Beams

Post by BigTim »

I have been looking for some drop I beams to fit on a 65 F100, who makes a good one? I want at least a 3 inch drop. The only ones I have found are AIM and DJM. Anyone have any experience with these?

I got a DJM drop kit for my 66. I just got the kit last week and haven’t installed any of the components. But the kit is nice and complete. Looking through every I got it's all top notch welds and fabrication.

I read an article someplace that said one of the 2 companies I beams are like 1.5 inches shorter per side. Is that the DJM? What would the purpose of shorter be? Being able to use a deeper dish wheel to match the rear?

Another question, if you get the DJM beams, everything from the kingpin out off of a 78 F150 for the disc brakes, what tierods and steering stuff do you use?
