Well, if you love a guy that makes an effort, stay tuned and see what Paul and I have planned. Don't have a clue how it will turn out, but we'll see. Film at 11.

I'm with Skip too, a CB would be alright, maybe a AM/FM Cassette player, one guy put three Stewart Warner guages up there. Now days if I knew how to do it I'd run extra AC outlets up there.

Just a thought but it seems like some of you guys should all hook up As you drive to slick stock and pick them up from Skiatook, OK. And then deliver to those who want em at SS. Just a thought. Now I'll mind my own business.

I like the idea of a few gauges up there.

Danny,
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm blown away by the commitment to the straight axle trux on this sight. Thanks again.

I'm going to have to talk to you more later about that rack & pinion. As retirement approaches I'm planing on a FE swap into my '47 Coupe. One of the trix I've seen on that era Ford is a Omni rack, a new unit though is more appealing. The other thing in your lengthy list of modifications was AC. Ease of installation & efficiency are questions I would have about that. Thanks again.

They have a link a tthe bottom of page in the ford 61-64 trucks that shows installation, If it's half as simple as they show it will be a breeze. I have seen them allready installed and they are nice, modern A/C with the vintage look 8) http://www.classicautoair.com/manuals/1-1071Manual.pdf

One note of caution (and something that I wasn't aware of until it was pointed out to me by a "shipper" friend) is that many towns (and even cities) in the U.S. no longer has Greyhound service. For example, here in Louisiana the city of Alexandria (Population: 48,000 +/-) recently lost their service. The majority of Greyhound stations are "contract" sites and are typically gas stations or convenience stores (at least in our area). The Alexandria station site was lost due to a remodeling which no longer could accommodate the buses or passengers.

Every year I make about four rod runs and two or three swap meets. Get in touch I'll be glad to show you one of our headliners in a '66. Arrangements to bring one with me wouldn't be out of the questions. Addios!!!

Irl. see if you can get in touch with Truckrat. He lives in Oklahoma City has to come thru Tulsa on his way to KC. And I can't believe there aren't members from Texas going that route. Thats the way we went in '10. Somebody will step up to the plate I'm sure.

Guys,

I spoke with Irl about buying a headliner, but originally was gonna hold off, mostly because of $$$. Saving $70 might just knock me off my wallet. If somebody is coming from that direction and would be willing to pick it up I would gladly be the Slickstock guinea pig. We could install it right in the parking lot.

Send pm if there are any takers.

Thanks
Brian
