Buying another slick...

Post by troymn »

Hey Guys. So I'm looking at getting another truck. I bought a 64 short and found the cab mounts were starting to rot. I'm scared of buying things even more now without seeing them in person because as I've found over and over is that everyone's opinion of rust free is different. Also things tend to get sugar coated or pictures tend to be shot at a funny angle to avoid flaws. With that being said I'm from Minnesota and rust has gotten every nice truck out here. I am wondering if anyone has ever bought anything from Tom at Flashback F100's? He seems super knowledgeable and the stuff he sells looks amazing. I'm sure it is but it's nice to know from others there thoughts. Thanks guy's for the feed back!

Also If Tom is on here, I do not mean any disrespect in anyway. It just nice knowing, being I'm almost 1000 miles away and can't look at it in person.

if Tom tells you something you can take it to the bank. I would buy anything site unseen if recommended by Tom

Everything I have read, and the few times I have spoken with him, points to everything above, being a mere shadow of the truth.

I too have dealt with Tom and not face to face, but anything has come to me better than I had hoped for, and since meeting Him at the last Slick stock, I know why, he`s a great Bloke!.

bought my vent windows from Tom as well as all the cab floors and cowl patch panels. Said Vents were rust free and indeed they were perfect. Patch panels were better than anything offered by other vendors.
