To each, their own.

I admire the sheer effort that went into that golden monstrosity. Also, dig the F-600 fenders on the mud-truck (though that one looks a bit like a pavement queen). Seen that a few times in person, and it's a neat look.
Working on a '66 F100 with a '71 240 and the original three-on-the-tree...

Before we pass judgment...remember... a team of engineers finished the AMC Pacer, stepped back and said "boys, I think we have a winner." If a guy built this in his garage, 'atta boy. I have PTSD over the electrical work I have been doing this month.
