Engine code for 61 F-350

Post by The Big M »

Anyone know what engine corresponds to code "NP"? This is for a Canadian-built truck.

Engine Code

My 1961 Ford & Mercury Shop Manual says that the NP code is a 223 six cylinder.

Thanks Gene. That's what I figured. I was just wondering because my '62 M-100 has a 223 and the engine code is P-3. I saw an F-350 at a wrecker that had the NP code.

Is there any difference between the F-100 and F-350 motors, or is there just a different set of codes for the light- and heavy-duty models?
