Post by 6166 Junkyard Dog »

Bought this today,, 1966 Ranger Truck , picture was taken after truck was vandalized,, what was stolen was the chrome trim on the bed, center console, hub caps , Chrome Trim I have some that will work, But no console so will be looking for that I am curious if any member owned this truck before it was vandalized ?, Inside of truck is just as nice as outside, under the hood has been detailed real nice,, a lot of new parts was used on this truck that I can see in rest of pictures as well,, Truck is coming out of Washington State.

Congratulations, I was the other bidder!!! You got a great deal on a beautiful truck! I'm really surprised it went that low. The only reason I didn't go higher was the complications of finding where to park it because the other three are under cover and it didn't have a spot.

I saw somebody from Wash. was bidding on it,, I like was sticker shock on price so low as you where, Now all I need is a console and change the carpet,, I see the brackets for the carpet to go up by the gas tank, below is a picture of original carpet I took out of a Ranger many years ago

Great looking truck. Consoles are really hard to find, though same of the parts are available. I haven't looked at mine, seems like someone would be able to make some scratch if they reproduced these.

The Gen I Comet/ Falcon style console used in many of these are reproduced. I will see if I can find the vendor info.
You flat stole that truck; is the title unbranded?

Dearborn classics were reproducing the console bodies, insert and lid but looks like they've stopped making the bodies. Maybe they could direct you to one of their retailers who might still have one??

The body chrime trim was s real bugger to get.
