Slick 60's

Looking for some pictures of installs of Camaro front subframes. I have not seen too many. I would appreciate any information.

must not be as popular as I thought they was.

They are used a lot in the '55-59 Chevy truck groups. Used to have a '56 Chevy big window and it was the hot tip for them. You see them occasionally in a slick.

Board name rbeck204 can tell you how easy it is on a slick. He has not been on here since August. He lived in california and now lives in Houston. Go to the facebook slick 60's page and ask about him with "Attention Houston members". I am sure some of the Houston members can get you in touch with him. I think his name is Richard Beck.

I think it would be better to do the Crown Vic swap, much more popular and I'm sure you can get more help with this swap.

All brand bashing aside, I don't really know much about them or why they never caught on with slicks, the one that really seems to have stuck was the crown Vic, followed by the Dakota kit supplied by Industrial Chassis.

I think one reason they are not popular is that a lot of people would never trust something done like this if not done by a well known fab shop. I think you might narrow your potential buyer pool if you ever tried to sell. It also requires much more fabrication as you have to figure out how to mount your rad support. Things also tend to go in cycles. We've seen stubbing, Volare, MII, Dakota, Crown Vic.... There is always something new.

I would think if it is done properly that it shouldn't matter much what it is.
