Still stumbling trying to understand inner fenders differences in years and which years will work on
a 1966 F100 V8 2WD. Its said they don't repop for 1966 2wd. Has anyone installed say a 64 set into a 66.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: 1966 F100 2wd V8
THIS Is not hard to understand,,,, 61-64 F-100/250 or ALL 61-66 F-350 trucks and up or 61-65 4x4 trucks have rounded inner fenders that bolt to a bracket on the cab,, 65's are flat type inner fenders that bolts with 3 bolts directly to the cab with a place to bolt directly to a bracket off the 65 core support with flat brackets mounted to the core support and 66 inner fenders also bolt with 3 bolts to the cab, but does not bolt to the 66 support since both 65 and 66 supports are different.. all this started when a topic was touched about part numbers on inner fenders that in Fords Holy Bible was printed wrong and that's how things get mixed up by Book Worms instead of actually working and actually touching the trucks or just the computer says it is what it is DOES NOT MEAN It's right

You could make the earlier inner fenders work, but they do not mount the same at the firewall. I think you ought to be able to find a good pair of 65/66 on here or ebay or craigslist.
