1966 Ford Truck Body Builders Layout Book posted...

Post by FORDification »

Over the past week or two I've been busy working on scanning the 1966 Ford Trucks Body Builders Layout Book scanned and getting the pages pertaining to the light-duty trucks cleaned up and posted to FORDification.info. If you're needing access to dimensional schematics for the chassis, body or engine, this is what you need to check out. There are a total of 26 hi-res schematics posted:

I'm now working on taking a full-composite grayscale wiring diagram for the '66 models and converting it to a full-color schematic, color-coded to match circuit wire colors. This is the grayscale version that I'm working on, and is currently posted HERE, but will soon be replaced with the full-color version. It's very tedious time-consuming work, but will be a great asset once it's done.

Stay tuned! :)

Just started a 1969 T-850 project; any chance you have access to a 69 Body Builders Layout Book?
I see some '66 pages, which would be the same cab/sheet metal, and would also be very useful.
Any possibility of getting a scan or copy? Can't find anywhere else...

Yes, I've got the '69 Body Builder's Layout Book. Because of the large format of these Layout Book pages, each page has to have multiple scans and then be stitched together in Photoshop. I'm not feeling up to the task on this, but I did shoot some hi-res pics with my cell phone. I don't know if they'll be usable but I put them on my site for you to download. Hopefully you can use them. Let me know when you have them so I can delete them off the server.

Keith,

Just wanted to say thanks for the '66 (and other slick stuff) on your site. You got a great site and lots of valuable information on it.

You're certainly welcome! I'm in the process now of scanning Technical Service Bulletins and incorporating them into searchable PDFs. I'm hoping to have them done by springtime, since once it gets warm out I don't want to be behind a desk.

Thank you very much - didn't think this would be available!
Yes it all seems to be very readable.
My F-100 project was easy compared to the T-850 - but help like this seems to always show up thanks to all of the
resources that everybody has.
Thanks again!
