Door panel behind window/door cranks

Post by unibody madness »

I managed to find, and trace out a low roof headliner,I will be turning it into a pdf that will print out on a 36" printer.
It will be two pages worth so in order to not waste space I am looking for an actual true pattern for the Door Panel that goes behind door and window cranks.
Any body have one they can trace or have a PDF of one?

Yes I am. The piece that goes over the back window is actually larger than the top of the headliner so I went kitty corner on the second sheet, at $13.00 a sheet at Kinkos, it might help the do it yourselfer, and those will fill the space nicely.
Do you have a true tracing or pdf of them I can have?

I'm going to have to find someone who can scan them & save as a .pdf. I had access to the gear @ my old job, used it often, but no access currently.....

Nic: I'm thinking it's going to need to be an 11 x 17, but I'll have to measure them to verify if they will fit on the bed of an 11 x 17 scanner.

If not, a real accurate tracing of at least the hole placement, dimple sizes and exterior edges would work for all the do it yourselfers
Thanks guys

UniMad: Are you just after the crank hole locations, or are you trying to determine the hole locations for the clips that hold the trim around the insert?
Currently can't help you with the trim holes, but I do have plans to cannibalize a rough set of CC doors I have here, and trim out the section of the inner door so a size just big enough to include the the trim hole locations, which I can then lay over my doors and use the crank holes to get them centered up. Then I will mark the hole locations with a transfer punch so I can drill my doors for the CC Trim. (and I have to do FOUR, cuzz it's a CREWCAB).
Because it's not flat, I'm not sure a guy could scan that big piece of tin on a flatbed scanner and get accurate hole locations, but another long term project of mine may see me visiting someone with 3D scanning gear, so this might get piggybacked with the other project. But don't hold your breath, because it won't be tomorrow, or next week......
