Biggest TIRES on your 4x4?

Post by Andy fox »

I'm running 31s right now. I would like to run 33s and try fitment on 35s. I think they would fit but not sure I would want to daily drive with those tires.

Who has 33" or bigger wheels on factory heigth? Got pics? How is drives ability and has anything factory broke due to bigger tires?

currently i have 235-85-16 which converts to 31.7" x 9.3"
used to have 255-85-16 which was 33.1" x 10" and my speedo was dead on with my 4.56 gears
now its a little off but at the time i did not wish to wait to order the 255s

35s will fit in the wheelwells with no issues im just getting too old to want to climb higher to get in my truck, same with my wife.

i prefer to have a tall skinny tire rather than fat ones too it helps some with the manual steering gear and looks better on the older truck, more like factory.

I'm running stock running gear...
But I re-arched the fronts for about a 2" lift
Put extra blocks under the the back end to level it
Also have f600 fenders .....
I'm running 37" tires

My bone stock 61 f100 is running 33" tires

I watched a guy at a spring shop arch a leaf spring
Did it myself at home on my press
Just take apart leafs & do them one at a time
Tiny bend about every 2 inches entire length of springs

My front clip was in bad shape...
Had an f600 that was pretty good... Bolt right up
I wish I would have widened the bed to match it

That is an idea. Did you cold arch it or use some heat?
