Ford Y block Fail Stant safe thermostat, do they exist?

Post by aj64f100390-292 »

I've looked at napa's site, o'reilly's, and autozone...napa is the only one that carried any thermostats but I haven't seen any fail safes. Do they exist? dads going to be a bit disappointed...he has always ran fail safes...swears by them.
thanks in advanced

Y-block use the same thermostat as Mopar. If there is a failsafe for those, then there is one for Y-Blocks.

I only ran one fail safe and it failed within a week! This was the early 2000's and maybe they have improved since then. At the time I was advised to go with a high flow high performance tstat instead.
