New style mini starter wiring question

Post by 69supercj »

Hey guys I'm switching to a new smaller mini starter for my 66 and need to know how this should be wired up. I dont have the wiring instructions. Right now I've got the old standard style of inner fender mounted solenoid and I believe that there is a different way to wire these newer style starters. Thanks for any and all help.

Do a Google search " How to wire a mini a ford mini starter" the first image is what your looking for. I just installed one on my 390. Simple and easy to understand. You will have to make up the small wire that runs from the output side of your solenoid down to the starter. Good luck :D

I used the solenoid and wiring from a 94 when I installed the mini starter in my 66.
