My 66 needs a steering column. Does anyone know if a 67 column is the same? :D

I can't say for sure, but have used columns from dentsides in slicks so I suspect everything up to '79 should be able to work with a little work. The dentside columns need to have the mounting flange moved from a slick column added in place of its flange. The 73 and later power steering columns are a little shorter and can provide a little more room behind the wheel.

Is there a way to mount a slick steering wheel onto the dent side column? I know it may look a bit goofy because the center section of the slick wheel is smaller than the original dent side wheel.

The slick steering wheels fit just fine. The collar parts are all interchangeable.

73-79 COLUMNS Need several areas to be done to,, re-wiring steering column due to more wires on 73-79 than a slick,, NEXT 3 spoke steering wheel fit BUT NOT THE HORN RING, until you cut off about 3/4" of end of the shaft so horn ring will fit,, also 77-79 columns are more dangerous in a truck due to they only have a junkie hard seal to hold those columns in the trucks with 2 dash to column bolts,, As where 73-76 has the actual clamp to firewall bracket with a better inside seal but that clamp will fit 77-trucks, Now mid 74 to 79 trucks have that Junkie lower plastic bearing cup in which is junk, unlike the 73 to mid 74 has the better lower bearings

column interchange to be Politically right but others can be adapted

Well I better take a closer look at it. I couldn't get the wheel to engage the splines on the column. It was as if it wouldn't drop down far enough.

If I can't figure it out I will post some pictures.

When I took the 73-79 steering wheel off I noticed there was an oversized nut underneath of the proper nut acting like a spacer. It didn't look factory  Maybe something is messed up with my column.
