My 65 F100 Project

Post by CMenard »

Here it is in all it's glory. I found this on Ebay a few weeks ago and couldn't resist it. I love the way it sits and it drives really well.

The truck is sitting on a 73 Torino chassis and uses the the Torino's 351C which is now backed by an AOD. I just added the wheels and tires, fixed a few other little things and now it's ready to cruise.

Let me know what you guys think.

I really like it, it sits very nice and looks nicely porportioned. A nice rear valance would look nice also. You just can not go wrong with a shortie! I would ,lke to soo some of the fabrication for mounting it on the Torino chassis as well.

65 on a Torino.

I would like to see how the cab and bed mounts were constructed. Nice truck all you need is a drivers mirror and you're ready for the water mellon 500!

Love it. 8)

Makes me want to find a shortie and drop it on to my '87 Grand Marquis. I dig the steelies and wide whites too...

Thanks for all the compliments.

My future plans for the truck include rebuilding the 351, some bags, and finishing the interior. Then some body work and paint.

More immediate plans are to floor the bed and build mounts for it, new exhaust, swap out the Torino steering column, chrome bumber and grill, and rewire the truck.

I'll get some more pictures this weekend of how it was put together.
