Seatbelts - new aftermarket or wrecker

So I priced out some seatbelts on "seatbelt planet". Then got to thinking maybe I should just get a set from the wreckers out of a newer pickup, maybe something like a dent side truck. I don't want anything fancy. A black 3 point belt for each side and a black lap belt for the middle. I would like an all steel buckle of similar style to my 62 unibody.

What would you guys do? Aftermarket or start watching the wreckers?

Nic

*Edit*

Aftermarket belts are going to be just over 200 USD.

I bought new belts.

Here’s the thing about wrecker belts- I looked..

Some wrecks were bloody.
Some were cut.

Some were greasy.

To each their own..

I plan to use the Andover company's belts.

Probably the plain T-bird non retractable lap belts.

We had a set of these belts in a Studebaker when I was a kid.
Simple and almost indestructible, easy to use.
I'm not a fan of late model belt setups, retractors fail, latches get stubborn, just plain poor quality.

If I stumble across a set scavenging a wrecking yard so much the better.

I bought seat belts out of a wreck and installed them and didn't like the way they work then bought new ones and put them in and there pretty good . If you want the wrecker ones you can have them just pay shipping. There tan. Tom

we get many trucks in with belts,, BUT we cut them for the reason we do not want to be responsible for people's lives ++ no telling how many I had to cut to get people out of their belts cause they jammed on them

Could be thin up top. A customer rolled and totaled his then one year old 1992 F-250 SuperCab. The 1986 cab that was used had the shoulder brace bolt in a different spot. The original owner had it 10 more years and the second owner set it out to pasture a couple of years ago. Every time I saw it I thought of those big washers I put behind the shoulder mounts.
