This is a 285/75 R 16 tire mounted on a 16 x 8 wheel from cooker that has 4' backspacing.
It is to close to fender 5/16
Inside has 1 1/4 clearance.
Wheels with 4 1/2 backspacing would give 3/4 clearance on the inside and 13/16 on the outside.
I could also use these rims with a 265/75 R 16 and have 3/4 clearance on the outside.
Is 3/4 enough clearance?
I like the look of the wider tire.
Thoughts?

An online tire calculator says yours are 11.2". I ran 11" for years and you had to be hard on the truck to get them to rub. Normal driving would make the 12" rub the wheel wells. 65 F-100 Styleside 15" wheels.

EDIT: I used stock steel, mag and aftermarket directionals, but don't remember what the offsets were.
