61-63 instrument woes

Post by ELpolacko »

The stock instruments on the yellow truck are in sad shape. All the indicator light diffusers and cardboard tubes are missing. No big deal it will all come back apart for paint in a year or two but the fuel and temp gauges have deteriorated badly. The fuel gauge doesn't work at all and the temp goes full throttle as soon as you turn the key.

I have checked the voltage regulator, works fine. Checked my wiring several times and have checked the sender, I'm getting 21 Ohms cold (room temp) the insulators are toast.

Anyone got a pair or a whole panel they want to part with?

The standard cab steel (round) gauges? Do you need the whole panel or just the gauges? Email me.

What am I saying? The biggest Slick hoarder (south of Alaska) is going to start working for you at the end of the month!
