Uni and regular cab doors the same?

Post by DaneW1962Uni »

The doors on my Unibody are from a regular cab, they don't fit very well. the upper back corner has a big gap and the top of the door hits the cab and doesnt want to shut all the way. I have tried to adjust every way possible but tweaking one way just seems to upset the other.

thanks

I think they're different, and have different body lines, someone else will chime in here shortly. Nice fleet of vehicles!

The physcal size of the doors are the same. Body lines are different, however. The doors may not fit your cab, if it has shifted because of rusted out cab mounts.

Body lines are definetly different, the uni has a body line that goes down on an angle and the reg. cab lines are straight, would not look good. They will fit though. You usually have to make either one fit good as far as the gap. I welded and ground on mine to get them to fit a decent gap the same all around. Drilled tapered pin holes in the hinges after I got them fitted,so I could take them back off and paint them. Merle
