Off road racer

I have watched this truck for about 6+ years now. They finally put up pictures of it on thier website. I wish they would have gotten into more detail 'cause it's bitchin'!

That is an awsome truck. My dad has an old pic of Robby Gordons race truck from the early days, its a 65-66 stepside, great trucks! My first vehicle was a 65 F-100 Prerunner stepside, painted like the Rough Riders Ford teams of the late 80's early 90's. My dad and I have about 8 65-66's at the moment and I would love to use one of the cabs for a prerunner project.

At one point he was running an all aluminum 427 FE with injection. No idea what it has now but the only things left stock on that is the cab structure, doors and frame rails. I belive the fenders and hood are glass.

The next truck I do will be a pre runner. I do not have the heart to do it to my 65 f100. When I am done building it, I am going to look for a cab and a frame. Thats all I want and go from there. We can drive on the beach at Oceano State Park. I might build it with a 351 cleavland because, you have to wind out the motor to run good in the sand.

I would assume that they are full custom I beams, and it looks like its a coilover and tripple bypass shock in the front. The rear looks like a 3 or 4 link with coilovers. I have bent beams on mine, for a 4 inch lift. Look up Autofab, as they are about the best for entry level to moderate prerunner suspensions for 65-79 Twin I beam trucks.

Like I said before, nothing left stock.

You can see the coil spring/shock combo tower just behind the cab for the rear suspension. It is a very long triangulated four link and the front is a very heavy duty twin I-beam type.
