Alan,
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

If the exhaust manifold from a 262 is the same as the 223 I have one that I will give you. Will bring it to Slick Stock.

i used some JB weld one time on an engine, was away and it worked for about 2 weeks until i was able to properly repair, i dont know how much heat it can withstand though,

a buddy of mine cross threaded the spark plug in his dirt bike, he used jb weld on the threads and it worked for years,

ive actually used tin foil on a tractor (no gum though)
every morning i jammed the hole shut and put a piece of baling wire
around it to hold it in place it was beyond repair
sure beat breathing diesel smoke
the best price i could find on a manifold was half the cost of what i gave for the tractor!
the day i sold it was a happy one

I am going to be pulling a very tired 223 out of my Uni soon, good manifolds. I will be selling off all the good parts from the engine. If you need them let me know.

I hope your autozone comment was a joke.... the kids I have seen at autozone (any/all) are complete morons.... I ran into some of them that didnt even know what the hell brake line was.... why cant there be some sort of automotive knowledge prerequisite test? Just basic crap.....

JB weld is good crap. I've never pushed its limits though. seems I've read on the package that it's good for 600 deg or so... that's kinda cool. I might have forgotten though.
