question about wheel color

what is the original color wheel on a 61 f100 4x4
one guy told me the rims were the same color as the truck
but i have seen some trucks with black wheels & the truck another color

my truck is red, the previous owner replaced the SPLIT rims with modern
rims, and i want to go back to right color, thanks from the land of OZ

i think they are supposed to be black.all the ones in the brochures i have seen are.
they are defintely not painted to match the body.

The 61 f100 4x4 brochure that I have show the wheels to be white. I have a lot of orginal advertisements and there seems to be a mix of wheel color between white and black up to 1965. It seems that all 2wd's are white and you could get black or white on 4x4's. 1965 and 1966 4x4's seem to be all black. This is just what I've seen in the brochures that I have.
