REASONS TO COME TO SLICKSTOCK

Post by Johnny Canuck »

Sorry this is just for folks who attended one, to add thier two bits

1) who needs a camera when you can reach out and shake the guys hand
2)cold beer, good friends, and lotsa bull****
3) EVERYBODY stares and watches as you run up the freeway , in a line, and the thumbs are in the air
4) You'll never have to meet Uncle Skip

There's a start, add on, you attendees old and new
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

it's easier to toast in person than on the web.

now when i read a post by someone i have met i can actually imagine them saying it in person (alan, all the canucks, brian, et al). lol

your wife will be happy after you stop complaining you never went to slickstock.
you will definitely wish to never miss another one

maybe you get another slick that can make it to ss getting more than 12 mpg.then you can drive instead of fly.

Lyman is a real comedian.

and there are so many more.

Was the best time I have had in years!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's great to sit down (or lean on trucks) and talk with guys who although you have never before seen and feel like you are home.

Reasons

Post by Truckrat »

As was said to me by many people who were there, it isn't all about the trucks, but more about friendship and a big family reunion type atmosphere. My only regret is missing the first two Slick Stocks. All of you folks ROCK, and I will definitely be at Ankeny for SS4, this time with a Slick. Thanks again for the good times. TR

Not at all, this ol carcass has seen worse than that. Reminded me of the many nights spent at the Trans Am motel, except I used to share that with someone a little less hairy than Ice...that's a whole other story :rotflmao:

Reasons to go:

1) Where else can you see a 300 T5 bump beat a late model Chevy in a 1/4 mile (nice job Madmax)
2) I got to eat grits and gravy despite Garbz' warning and can't wait to have them again
3) I got to sing despite the gun threats from Lyman
Meet all your best friends in person. Thanks for the memories 8) See you all in Iowa
Mark

Mark, actually, my first post was just a joke, but after everyone jumped on it, I decided to ride it out and have some fun with it. It was indeed a pleasure to meet new ones and see old friends. Thanks, Lyman.
