Norcross Car Show, May 19

There are never many slicks. If you're worried that yours doesn't look good enough, come park next to me and it will look sweet. My paint is all dull, chipped, scratched, and slightly rusty.

I plan to have new gauges installed, and a new wire harness. I should be pretty well finished with the instrument panel this weekend so that should leave plenty of time for the wire harness. And if I have enough time left, I'll level out the rear and get Caltracs installed. But no one will ever notice all of this because they'll see the paint and pass right by.

I know there are a few in reasonable driving distance, and a few more within several hours. Lets see if we can get something together. It's always a great show with good variety and it seems to get bigger every year.

Just under 2 weeks away. I haven't got nearly as much as I wanted done. I decided to change the design of the indicator lights for the instrument cluster so the gauges and harness are not done. Had to fix some issues with the car. Lots of yard work. So I haven't been lazy. I did remove the rear springs yesterday. Going to drop them off for de-ardching today to level it out. So at least something noticeable will have been done before the show.

I'm planning to get there by 8:00. It does not start officially until 9:00. In past years I've been there by 8:30 and that was not usually early enough for a spot by shade. 8:00 may not be early enough, but I want as much sleep as I can get.

You park in a shady spot with a good chair and you can catch a nap later. ;) I've slept on the car trailer at the dragstrip before.

I changed my mind about the Mableton show. I don't want to register for any "shows" until I at least have the aluminum on the truck.

I think I'm gonna ride up to the Canton/Riverstone cruise-in. Eat some BBQ and sit around in the sun.

Oh, come on. Park next to me and yours is guaranteed to look better with it's shiny paint and lack of rust. :D

I've spent the night in a car trailer at a dragstrip.

If you're into vintage, mostly European motorcycles there's a cool place to check out nearby.

I can't make either one.

I started a new job Wednesday and need to get some stuff done this weekend.
