Summit Racing in McDonough GA

Post by bmcgc »

I-75 Exit 216.

They have a car show every Monday night 6pm-9pm-ish.

I found out about it tonight by accident because I needed some exhaust parts. Lots of nice cars, $1 hot dogs.

There was one nice 66 Slick, short bed, the owner bought the truck "as is" out of TN. He is not on here.

We plan on going again with Ruby.

Anyone interested in getting some Slicks down there on a Monday night?

I've been several times, but not with the truck. It's a good show. The thing I don't like about it is I gotta either head down early and just hang out until the show starts or wait a little later and deal with Atlanta traffic.

We can do that. It will be a few weeks before I'm ready for that trip. I noticed while working on my rear springs that I have an axle seal leaking. I need to handle that before I go any real distance. I'm planning to go to the Tucker Cruise in this weekend if everything goes smoothly with the springs- and it should. I got them back today and got new bushings in the shackles. Tonight I paint. Tomorrow I instal and see what it looks like leveled, 2.5" lower. The springs get new bushings when I get the cal-tracs.
Next weekend is the Norcross show. I'll do the axle seal after that show.

Oh, another opportunity if you like rock, hard rock, metal, punk, and horror movies is the Monster Bash at the starlight 6 drive in.

Since my new job is in downtown Atlanta, I'll just drive the Slick to work and go from there.

I'm going to check my pinion angle tomorrow so I can get that adjusted if need be when I put the traction bars on. If I need some shims, I'll probably get them from summit, which means I can drive down to get them on Monday. I won't bring the truck, though. I still need to fix the axle leak.
