Know what I REALLY miss about SLICKSTOCK?

Post by Gritsngumbo »

Of course I miss the camaraderie and the tailgate sitting and truck talk, but what I miss the most is the frequent visits by the "Beer and Ice Fairy".
Seems like every time I opened my cooler, it was fuller of both ice and beer than when I left it. So, I figured there must be a "Beer and Ice Fairy" in Altoona. Pretty cool! Hasn't happened since I've been back. Boy, Robbin and Robbin's wife thought of everything. :-)

Here's my favorite "group shot".

It's the members of the Slick 60's Seniors.
Each of these fine folk are north of age 65. Interesting note is that all of the Seniors (present company excepted) had their Slicks at Slick Stock (and most drove them there).

Sorry Skip. Don't understand how that happened. Only thing I can figure is that we all had early naps that afternoon and you had a late nap and missed the shoot. We'll be sure to get you next time.

Well, I was taking pictures of individual members and their trucks when I told Kid to get ready for the snapshot.
I guess the habits from years of living on the wild side took over when he AUTOMATICALLY "assumed the position".

Great pictures out the hotel room window. The three pictures covered the whole field. Here is one of mine of the crowd.
