young Policemen

Two young policemen (Constables Brown and Poole) are on the ‘beat’ when they come across a domestic occurrence.
They call their Police Station on their portable radio.

"Hello. Is this the Sergeant?"

"Yes?"

"We have an incident here Sergeant. A woman has shot her husband dead for stepping on the floor she had just mopped."

"Have you arrested the woman?"

"No sir……the floor is still wet."
