RideTech coil overs really smoothed out the ride in the front! Best $750 I ever spent! Now I wanna put 'em in the back too!

They only raised the ride a half inch and could still tweek it a little more if I wanted.

Started to paint the dash. Mounted a new Flaming River steering column. Installed a Gennie Commander Swan shifter. Got a "Ohana" Tiki beer tap handle for a shift knob.

Mounted the new seats on new brackets we fabricated. The leather seats are from 2015 Volkswagen Bug. $200 on Craigslist and they are heated!!! They kinda have a "mustang" stitch pattern. Super comfortable! New seatbelts too!

Added a new Edelbrock fuel filter, a DUI distributor and some new wires. Runs like a champ!

Yup, I love this green too.
It's a next gen F100 color so it isn't original but it's still a Ford color.
I think they used Boxwood Green from 1968-1974ish.

I rattle canned the whole truck (except the rust spots) and then sanded it off for patina.
Love when people tell me, "I love the truck, it will be great once you get a paint job!"
Ha, Ha, makes me smile and shake my head - they just don't get it.
PLUS, you don't have to worry about door dings in your 10K paint job!!!

I've got a white 65 that I plan to go with the patina look. It's already got a great start so why mess up what took 50 years to create!

I'm likely going to be going with a CVPI driveline so am really interested in how you widened the front fenders. When I initially saw it I thought it was going to stick out like a sore thumb. However, once you filled it in and put some paint to it, it looks like factory. Kudos to you for having the vision and the drive to make it a reality. I am constantly impressed with Slick owner's ingenuity and skills.

Hey OrangeRCode, thanks for the props. The fenders were super easy to do. Just cut with a cutting wheel following the lines of the truck, pull the fender out about 2 1/2" and welder up! I'm running a 225/45-20 tire up front and I have full turning capability. Absolutely no rubbing side to side or up & down. Rides perfect! Now I've gotta move to the rear end and do some tweaking back there to make "Betty" handle better.

I wish I had an original color to work with like you have. I bought the truck and it was already in primer. If you can find an original color that you like and some sweet patina, KEEP IT! It will never be original again! PATINA AND RUST RULES!!!

Yup, both seats were $200!!! I just stumbled on them on Craigslist. There is a tuner company here in SoCal called AEM and they replaced the seats in a brand new Volkswagen. I thought the stitch pattern reminded me of Mustang seats so I went for it! Had to drive 2 hours but it was worth it. I turned out they can be wired up for heated seats if I want. SCORE!!! It's amazing what you can find on the internet!!!

The seat belts were from a website called "seatbeltsplus." They run about $130.
