1964 Shortbed "Rust-O-Mod" Build

May 2015 - Got a rockin' deal on a 1964 F100 that was an abandoned project started by a guy who lost interest in finishing. The truck came with a recently rebuilt 302, a C4 tranny and partially mocked up Crown Vic front end. Small amount of rust in the floor, but less than what I've seen before. The plan now is to get it street worthy and take it to a fab shop to install the engine, mount the front end and get the brakes working. Probably a year long project - we'll see - here we go!

August 2015 - Finally made it to my appointment at the fab shop - Needfulthingz in Lancaster, CA. The Crown Vic front end was already mocked up but still needed some adjustments and welding needed to be done.

Empty engine bay. Notice the white trans mount - it was made out of an old floor jack handle. wha.gif

Got the rims and tires mounted - 245/35-20”. Running the stock 9” right now with 2” wheel spacers to match lug nuts on the Crown Vic front end. Eventually, I’ll install 8.8 rear axle.
