My 65 F-250 had the outer locking ring when I bought it. Would the split rims be correct for a 65?

There were hanmer dings all over the faces of mine. I would have kept them if they were as straight as yours.

The lock rings are correct for the 65
These are true "widowmaker" 2 piece wheels
I would have NEVER have used them except they are a very uncommon
Bolt pattern (6x7.25)...... & replacements are virtually impossible

The lock ring on your f250 can be replaced with a more modern
Wheel that looks almost identicle

Pat you are a braver man than I. Wish you were closer and we would get you hooked up with one piece rims, with your centers.
As always your work always looks great so far, and you have such beautiful donors.

Is there a reason I have overlooked, that most early F350s and up have a tear in the front fender on one or both sides as shown by Pats Pict. I have pulled parts off a few of those over the years and the all seem to have that crack, to some extent. A few were not large opening fenders, just heavier than 250 trucks...

My F250 4x4 had that too
I think it's from the rougher ride / more vibration

I'm just going to do a simple repair that stops it from getting bigger

After seeing the 2 piece rims disassembled
Then cleaned by sandblasting
I understand how they physically work
They don't bother me
I would never attempt to do them myself whatsoever
