Finally home

Post by Hoofbeat Racer »

I made it!!!! 3720 miles, 290 gallons of diesel fuel, 35 gallons of premium, 6 states, and 2 provinces later I am back home safe and sound. From the rocky mountains to the great plains, I enjoyed every second of the trip. I seen the sun rise over the North Dakota prairies to the breath taking sunset over a Nebraska cornfield. From the countless thumbs up and waves that I got to the friendly people that stopped me along the way to chat, it inspired me to keep pushing and make a few more miles. It was that reason that I chose to avoid interstates wherever possible. To quote the movie "Cars", I travelled the roads to have a good time, not to make good time!

Thank you to everyone that made my slick stock such a great time, it brought me a lot of joy to share a little bit of my time with each and every one of you. It is comforting to know that some things feel just as good at 70 as they did at 17!!! shrug.gif :rocker: :steering:

See you all in 2 years 8)
Mark

Glad to hear you are home ! Went up to my room Saturday night.. passed out and missed the late shift

then Don and I were up early and headed out, and missed seeing you guys.

thanks for the thrill ride in Melba Toast :)

Glad to see that you are home safe. Your diesel does better mileage than mine does. I averaged just over 9 mpg. :?
When you have some time, give me some more info on that 6.0 trans cooler conversion.

Good to hear you are home safe Mark!, it was great to see you again mate!, can say, I think a better name for Melba toast would be............. "The Skid Mark Express!"

Skid, for the skid marks most got on their undies!

Mark, The Engineer who was happy to have everyone one aboard!, and

Express, cause it sounds and runs like an Express train just quicker!!!

if you didn`t get to ride in Her you missed out on a real buzzz!
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!
