I agree with you, the dragway is the best venue, more space & better layout, I will most likely see you on the way in, I will be working on the gate.

best place to see all the cars that show up, I used to do it at the Idlewild Hot Rod Club Memorial Run, just hard to hear some people talking with all the racket, even did some gate time at the Altoona Palooza car show, you`d be surprised how many Slicks showed up at that show!..................

will see what I can do, might be able to slip an extra badge or something, depends on which lane I am working. definately the best job on the day, I get to see every car without walking around.

Hi Alan, I was looking out for you coming in the gate, bad luck on not getting it there, the numbers were actually up, we have 1000 badges made & its the first year we have ever run out, so well over 1000 cars, I think more than half were mustangs & modern falcons, the swap on saturday even with the rain was a good one, sold a few bits & met a guy building a 63 F250, the bad side was I had to go home & wash the truck again for sunday

John they must have all been pushed out to the western side, it was pretty empty where you were parked compared to last year, some parts did look like new car showrooms, the only guy I saw that I knew was Wayne from the Galaxy Club, he said he knows you!, I think half of Malta was there to! :D boy they love their cars!

the area near me was for the clubs that started it & run it, was a bit sparse, we will have to pack it a bit more next year, the rest went right down around the corner all the way to the hill near the public car park, but did look a bit like woolys carpark down there, anything old or interesting that came through the gate we pulled aside for the special interest area, was wayne the guy with the 67 wagon & the 63 f250, or wayne with the 56 f100. if you know anyone that want a 63 cab & other bits, I will be selling off my leftovers, I stripped about 4 trucks, I need some more space, when I get a chance I will put them on ebay, next weekend I am going to race the comet at nostalgia meet in Qld so putting some more miles on the truck

The new guy Oldmanvan might be interested in some bits............It was Wayne without his car there Wayne :P , I didn`t make it all the way down the back, that must of been where the Zephyr Club was, I was looking for them as a neighbour of ours is usually there with either his sedan or his ute, what were you telling people to move to the back of the bus !
Good luck next week :steering:
