F5 Barn find

Post by ThinLizzy13 »

My buddy works at an apple orchard and stumbled across this in one of the barns there today. He said the emblem says F5. Looks like it has a ladder or maybe a converyor belt?

I wouldn't mind giving it a home....

Fire dept I used to belong to had the same ladder on a 51 International used for fire alarm work.Pulled a pin pivoted ladder up and lock crank it around and up & down swing down front step to stand in. pretty cool.Don't recall the make.

That should be a F500. Looks like a 1953.

Yea he got a closer look at it later today. It's a 1954 F500. He's gunna keep an eye out for the owner and see if he can find out some more about it.

Update on this old truck. The orchard uses it to paint towers n barns n such around the property. Pretty cool that its still operational. Also it has a 215 I6 under the hood.
